Unleash Creativity with The Abstract Game (TAG): A Revolutionary Collaborative Art Experience
Portland Oregon — October 3, 2024 – Alleyvision LLC is excited to announce the official launch of The Abstract Game (TAG), a unique, handcrafted art experience designed for artists, families, educators, and creative minds alike. This innovative game allows players to collaborate in creating a one-of-a-kind abstract artwork while fostering teamwork, creativity, and self-expression.
Created by Heather and Bill Alley, the dynamic art duo known as HAWA, TAG is the result of five years of dedicated development and refinement. Each kit is made in the USA from the finest quality wood, packaged with luxurious velvet bags, and comes with a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity, ensuring that each game is a true original.
“We designed TAG to break the boundaries of traditional art-making,” said Heather Alley, co-creator of TAG. “It’s a fun, interactive way to connect with others through creativity. Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply enjoy making art, TAG offers a collaborative and freeing experience without the pressure of competition.”
How The Abstract Game (TAG) Works
Players take turns using their choice of art supplies—whether it's acrylics, oils, markers, chalk, or even digital tools like iPads—to contribute to a growing abstract piece. The beauty of TAG lies in its flexibility; no art supplies are included, giving players the freedom to choose what works best for them. The game encourages players to experiment, express themselves, and explore new techniques while creating a shared masterpiece.
A Special Heirloom Creation
Crafted with care, each TAG kit is designed as an heirloom-quality piece, meant to be cherished for generations. “We wanted to create something lasting, both in the quality of the materials and the memories people will make while playing TAG,” said Bill Alley, co-creator of the game.
Perfect for Families, Classrooms, and Creative Gatherings
TAG is an ideal game for family game nights, classrooms, art workshops, or any creative setting. Its collaborative nature fosters positive interaction, emotional growth, and imaginative expression. It’s more than just a game—it’s a tool for building connections and exploring art in an engaging, hands-on way.
Join the Fun at the First Thursday Event
The Abstract Game (TAG) will officially launch on October 3, 2024, at the popular local event First Thursday. Visitors will have the chance to see TAG in action and even join in on the fun, experiencing firsthand how the game works.

About Alleyvision LLC and HAWA (Heather and Bill Alley)
Founded in 2015, Alleyvision LLC is the creative force of husband-and-wife duo Heather and Bill Alley, known collectively as HAWA. Heather has been a professional artist since 1999, specializing in oil painting, mixed media sculpture, and collage. Bill, a professional musician and songwriter for over a decade, transitioned into visual art after the couple married in 2014.
Together, they’ve developed a unique collaborative style that merges their creative backgrounds. While it took time to harmonize their different approaches to art, their journey culminated in the creation of large-scale, time-lapsed oil paintings that are now highly popular. As dedicated oil painters, they continue to work side by side on the same canvas, capturing the process on film and sharing it with their audience.
Their passion for making art accessible to everyone led them to invent a range of innovative art products. In 2018, they launched their first creation, the trademarked Pour Paint Kit, followed by Idea Eggz, and now The Abstract Game (TAG)—their most ambitious product yet. Each invention is a reflection of their mission: to break down barriers to creativity and empower people to experience the joy of art-making.
With a combined 10 years of marriage and creative partnership, Heather and Bill Alley remain committed to expanding the world of art, one inventive product at a time.
Bill Alley
Bill Alley is an accomplished horticulturist with over 20 years of experience working for Portland Parks, where he currently serves as a land management supervisor. In addition to his expertise in nature, Bill is a talented musician, skilled in multiple instruments, and a wordsmith with a passion for crafting poetry through mathematical formulas. His transition into visual art was an explosion of creative energy, as he immersed himself in the medium and developed a distinctive style. While Heather's work is bold and smooth, Bill’s art is textured, emotive, and infused with his love for color. An inventor at heart, Bill constantly applies game theory and mathematical thinking to his creative process. He has produced hundreds of works and continues to innovate both in art and beyond.
Heather Alley
Heather Alley’s journey into the art world began unexpectedly while recovering from cancer. A former nurserywoman at Farmer Brown's, she found herself unable to continue her business. To keep busy, Heather began painting furniture in her home and creating small garden designs for clients. One day, a client admired her painted tables and encouraged her to sell them. As her health improved, Heather presented her work to local business owners, quickly gaining traction and commissions. Within a couple of years, she transitioned to canvas, participating in hundreds of shows and galleries, and selling over 450 pieces of art before marrying Bill Alley. Known for her bold use of color and diverse mediums, Heather has cultivated a career rooted in resilience, creativity, and an unwavering love for artistic expression.
