This Show is Simply

The center that I cannot find is known to my unconscious mind.

quote in the title: W.H. Auden Sometimes, poetry is the only way to describe, explain, distort and contort my present moments of now-ness. At 12 years old I started bleeding with the moonand beating up boys who dreamed of becoming astronauts.I fought with my knuckles white as stars, and left bruises the shape of Salem. There are things we know by heart, and things we don’t. At 13 my friend Jen tried to teach me how to blow rings of smoke.I’d watch the nicotine rising from her lips like halos, but I could never make dying beautiful. The sky didn’t fill with colors the night I convinced myselfveins are kite strings you can only cut free.I suppose I love this life, in spite of my clenched fist. I open my palm and my lifelines look like branches from an Aspen tree, and there are songbirds perched on the tips of my fingers, and I wonder if Beethoven held his breaththe first time

It is at the time of dawn that we must commune with the gods. *New Artwork to share 🙂

quote in title: Apollonius of Tyana New artwork – A New Day- Simplicity series #5 48″ x 48″ x 2″ oils HAWA 2020 Alleyvision We did it! We finished this monster of a work! lol It was so complicated, for being in the simplicity series. Just like us to take it to the next level. We spent over a month and 150 hours painting this one. We don’t have too much to say about it, except we prayed a lot during the work. We prayed for the whole world. We dreamed out loud. The dream of our future, the dream of our next work, the dreams we have for each other, the dreams we have for our kids. We also loved each other, it was so easy to speak kind words and share space while we worked on this one. It took a long time, yet felt effortless…. We felt like our hearts grew 2

It smoothly rolled out its simple message, “be here, now”. The sparkling turquoise sky, reflected in the river stream below, pulls your eyes into the magic. The shades of grey canyon walls, almost look like ancient dwellings, placed upon outcroppings of land. It is in the beauty of the simple joys of being alive that keep the engines churning over here. We are in a flow state at

New Art! Contemplation- HA! 2020- Alleyvision

“Art is contemplation. It is the pleasure of the mind which searches into nature and which there divines the spirit of which nature herself is animated.” ~Auguste Rodin Contemplation This work started as a way for me to continue the lessons learned in “Water Dancer“. This work had no original drawing, it was all done spontaneously, in a stream of consciousness. Scale was not considered, I wasn’t interested in reality, just the gentle push of, “yeah, that feels good.” Allowing what is I practiced allowing, what is, to just be. Be here, be big, be tedious, be simply complicated and to be soft, like butterfly kisses. It became what it wanted to be. In the end, so did I. I think that is a good thing. I enjoyed this work, I felt rested everytime I came to it and surprisingly, when I left it each day. The work was hard and satisfying. Resting is work

Free shipping inside the USA Happy Day is another in the Simplicity series, we love the way they come to life on the canvas. The cheerful sun rays, peeking over the mountains and hills, rich with earthy color and healing green energy. This work is very grounding to look at and it makes your heart smile along with your face. It’s a recognizable painting, almost familiar. We have all seen a version of the sun and mountains we all draw them as children, sure for some of us it was sun and water, but you get the drift. A happy sun! A pretty sky! A whole Heart! What’s not to love? Sunrise is a magic time

Water Dancer #1 – New Oil Painting by HAWA-Alleyvision

A huge new original oil painting -Water Dancer “Elegance is achieved when all that is superfluous has been discarded and the human being discovers simplicity and concentration: the simpler and more sober the posture, the more beautiful it will be.” Paulo Coelho Water dancer started out as a digital drawing by Bill. I loved it so much and I came in, later and added the dancer. We drew the original almost 2 years ago! You can see the digital drawing in the beginning of this works creation video, I hope you can see the JOY that was experienced in painting about 7 bajillion circles 🙂 For real, this was a pleasure to paint, so meditative and calm. Take a look: Simplicity is the key As Bill and I explore this idea of simplicity, we discover a rekindled love affair with line, color and shape. Layers of rich color laid, so carefully together, give the impression
