And Now for the Tuesday after…

Howdy everyone, happy after Bang-Bang day, here in the good ole U. S. of A.

We partied like rock stars… grumbling old rock stars who couldn’t hear the T.V. after dark, got little to no sleep and had to comfort a scared Mr. Stinky Pants…yeah that’s how we roll. Cherries and cheese and Mr. Stinky (pictured below) in bed at 8pm. We know how to do it up, round here. LOL

It was a lovely long weekend, we did lots of projects together and ate a lot of awesome food, that we took turns making for each other. It was actually super kicked back, delightfully loving and generous in the time we shared, paying attention to ourselves. <3 Yay for LOVE. I love you Mr. Alley, thank you for a wonderful vacation. <3

We did get paint on those giant canvas’s too. Wanna see? Ok…hold your horses, I gotta find the pictures, oh..here they are: (well, mine anyway…)

Well, this is one of our projects, a pond alter to compassion and love <3 We added a bunch of goldfish to our pond too, so it’s a living sacred space.

The photo’s wanted to load all backwards and I’m rolling with it…yup.

The Mother HA! 2016 Oils 36″ x 48″

stopped by and sat in studio for me. We chatted and drank tea. She was all into her Spring and Summer line-up’s so she did most of the talking. She’s not shy, I’ll tell you. She insisted I go outside and find lots of leaves to paint into her hair, I was raised right and did as the Lady requested. We got to work making negative prints with the oil paint. She loved the maple leaves and the trillium’s too.  As we worked, she called the birds and butterflies to have a social hour and they talked of all the news worldwide. Buds bursting in every corner, the bird’s reported and the butterflies were all a flutter about something, I couldn’t quite make out…I’m not yet fluent in butterfly. I am working on it. 🙂

I am pretty sure this work will be months in the making. I have so much space to fill and I am going to take my time and enjoy the process.

No hurry. No rush. That’s what she is teaching me, to  slow down, look at that glowing leaf, listen to the bird’s telling stories, visit with the garden slugs and ask how the soil is doing today. Find frogs, kiss them just because. Bake a cake for your pets. Hug someone for 30 seconds for no reason. Play a concert just for the dragonflies, I hear they really dig Mumford & Sons as they are very trendy beings…they claim to have started the hipster movement…you know those dragonflies and their stories…

So…there will be more to come with this Lady of The Earth. 🙂 I hope you enjoy.

I gotta get to the day job and make that money.

Thanks! I feel very unsure of the work…that is driving me to figure out why and learn what is being taught…I really appreciate the encouragement. 🙂

I know I’m a bit late on commenting, since this was in here at the beginning of July, but was wondering about the room looking at some of the new stuff and stopped in here. She is beautiful! I love the soft bright colors and the leaves that are circling her. I love your art, you know that, but sometimes my favorite part is your story telling. I can see myself in the garden with her and all of the wonderful creatures going about their business. Cool! I would love to hear more about her, a second chapter, if you will. But then she must want to share also. Love & Hugs!
