The Quotes for this work:

“Time is the school in which we learn, Time is the fire in which we burn.”

“Necessary, forever necessary, to burn out false shames and smelt the heaviest ore of the body into purity.”

All I have to say for myself is I quit smoking.
Have a great day,

    “Heather quits,
    and now admits.

    Her life is best,
    and so is her chest.”

    Good for you.

Love your burning figures, Heather. On fire with passion!

And way to go on the habit-kicking. Burn, baby, burn!

Another award for you waits at my place…

This piece is gorgeous. It speaks of “ascension” to my eyes. The figures strike me as if moving upward, burdens lifted, arms splayed in surrender and gratitude.

Congrats on quitting. I did the same myself 6 years ago and it was the best decision ever. YAY for your health!

Love that piece. At first I thought trees, then women, then fire. I love mysterious pieces that keep me thinking. Alan Mizell
And congrats on the no smoking, that = more years of art making!

Heather, I love this painting so much! I’ve been back several times to look at it some more. I like how the background reminds me of both stars and jewels.

Congrats on quitting, that is huge. 🙂

I love these fire sprites! The “hair” is so cool! I wonder if I could make a crown like these…..

I’m lovin’ this. It says fire but when I first looked at it I saw sunflowers as hair. The arms extended, the shape of the bodies, the colours, the entire mood is set with exceptional skill and feeling. Bravo.
